- ELECTIONS 2020 -
As stated in our mission, we are directed to "continue the next step" in our democratic process. In accordance with our BY LAWS - Section 5.2, directors to the board are elected for three (3) year terms. We believe the most effective way to have a strong board presence is to have the elections on a three-year cycle.
This year, we have two (2) candidates running for the board. Please see their information below. You are able to vote for up to two (2) candidates. You will receive an email on November 8 to vote. Member-Owners without valid email addresses will receive a paper ballot. Voting will close on November 21.
Thank you for supporting the success of our co-op!

As Senior Director of Hospital Operations at the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital, Jessica provides operational leadership and strategic direction for multiple departments, including Food and Nutrition, Perioperative Services, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Imaging, Environmental Services, and Plant Operations, among others. She oversees approximately 200 staff, leads capital projects and facility improvement efforts, participates in the healthy food in healthcare council for the campus, and works with the clinical leadership team to drive program development. In September 2015, Jessica facilitated the $272 million relocation of Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo to the new John R. Oishei Children's Hospital on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. She worked with the clinical teams to develop and implement move plans and strategies associated with the hospital's transition, which resulted in the safe relocation of 125 patients in under 12 hours.
Born and raised in Buffalo, Jessica graduated from Williamsville South High School, and moved on to graduate from the University at Buffalo with her Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Services. She then attained her Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jessica resides in Clarence with her husband Ryan, and children Nolan and Hannah. In addition to spending time with her family, Jessica is also involved in the community, serving as a member of the Advancement Committee for the new Explore and More Children's Museum, as well as volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, and contributing to various other organizations. She is very much looking forward to the opportunity to become further engaged with the community in which she and her family live!
I've been a founding member of the Village Co-op since April 2017 have served on the Board first as Secretary and currently Vice President. Being involved in the Co-op has allowed me to really immerse myself in the future of this community. Growing up and living in Williamsville has been a wonderful experience for me, and being a part of something really big - from the ground up - is not only very exciting and gratifying, but it provides me the opportunity to have an impact on something everyone will enjoy for a very long time - a walkable market with healthy options, a welcoming environment, and fantastic amenities!
My background of over 30 years in a corporate environment has groomed me for a leadership role. My career began in Administration, then in Learning and Development, Consulting, and back to Administration. All my skills have been put to use to help growing the Co-op to where it is today. I hope to continue to serve on the Board and continue to utilize my experience and skills to help open the doors to our community-owned grocery store – the next big thing to hit the Northtowns!
